[Washington] DC based singer/songwriter Wayna has made a few ripples in the music industry. She’s mainly worked with east coast cats like Kenn Starr and Kev Brown. Her single “My Love” (below) was nominated for a Grammy in 2009. If you think that’s not enough to give her a listen, here’s a couple of tid-bits that makes her a “must listen”: Wayna was a former White House writer for the Clinton Administration and last March [2009] she was charged with a prohibited weapon (police baton) while trying to board an airplane… and she has a song appropriately called Billy Club… coincidence?
